Plank Pose (Upper-pushup position)

PlankInstructions:

  • From Downward Facing Dog, inhale and draw the torso forward until the arms are perpendicular to the floor and the shoulders over the wrists. The whole body is in one straight line.
  • Press the hands firmly down, and engage your abs to pull your navel toward your spine. Do not let your chest sink, and press back through the heels.
  • Keep the neck in line of the spine as you gaze straight down.

Modifications:

  • Lower the knees down to the ground.
