Instructions:
- From a standing forward bend, bend knees and on an inhale step left foot back with the ball of the foot on the mat. Step back far enough so that your right knee is above your right ankle forming a right angle.
- With an inhale, lift torso up, lengthening the spine, keeping hands in prayer at heart center.
- On an exhale, begin to rotate your torso bringing your left elbow outside of your right knee. As you push your elbow inside the knee, open through right shoulder, drawing shoulder blades down your back. Pulling the belly up and back to support your low back as you send your tailbone towards your left ankle.

- Repeat on the other side.
Modifications:
- For beginners, lower the back knee to help with balance.
